Elisabeth (Elisa) Graffy joined CSPO as Professor of Practice in 2012 and is also a Senior Sustainability Scientist at the Global Institute of Sustainability and co-lead of the policy theme for ASU LightWorks. She specializes in public sector institutional leadership and innovation, strategic management of the science-policy interface, and public engagement. Her current focus is on sustainable energy system change and its complex intersections with other large systems of governance including democracy, administrative institutions, and critical environmental resources (like food, water, and climate). She conducts research on public attitudes toward energy solutions and teaches a graduate seminar on Sustainable Energy as a Social Problem, in addition to developing other courses and strategies to engage public higher education with society’s “grand challenges.”
