She specializes in Japanese cultural diplomacy and Southeast Asian politics. Her research focuses on new public diplomacy, cultural diplomacy, Japanese foreign policy in Southeast Asia, and Asian cultural institutions and integration.

Prior to joining ADBI, she was a lecturer in the international undergraduate program at the Institute of Diplomacy and International Studies, Rangsit University. She also served as a policy analyst at the National Security Council of Thailand, focusing on Southeast Asian security affairs.

She earned her PhD in international relations from the International University of Japan under a MEXT Scholarship and during her doctoral studies was a teaching assistant and facilitator. She holds an MA in international relations from the University of York and a bachelor of social science in comparative societies and culture from Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University.
